Q: How can I tell whether LSC materials are located off-site or on-site?

A:

OFF-SITE:

Check the location; if the location is Southern Regional Library Facility (SRLF), the item is located off-site.

The majority of LSC's holdings are stored off-site at the Southern Regional Library Facility (SRLF) and researchers must request materials at least 2 business days in advance using their LSC User Account. Additional time is needed for collections that contain audiovisual or archival materials.

ON-SITE:

If the location is Library Special Collections (YRL Special Collections Stacks), the item is located on-site.

Materials housed on-site can usually be paged same-day and are limited to an additional five boxes/items per hour.
