Q: Do you accept recommendations from the public on which collections to digitize?

We are not able to accommodate direct requests from the public to digitize collections. All of our collections are valuable and we understand that researchers might have a personal interest in certain collections being digitized over others. However, LSC is committed to systematically increasing access to our collections according to departmental priorities, which are related to UCLA Library’s research and teaching goals and strategic plans. Digitization decisions are made internally and sustainably in support of those goals and cannot be based on responding to individual researchers’ interests.
