Q: How can I tell when my requests are ready for me to use in the Reading Room?

Step 1:
Log into your LSC User Account (Aeon).
Step 2:
On the left column under Request History click Outstanding Requests. This will provide the status of your request(s).
Please see the meaning of each Status in the table below.
Status Meaning Awaiting Request Processing Your request has been successfully submitted, but LSC staff have not yet processed it. Awaiting SRLF Request Processing You have successfully placed a request for material stored at the off-site Southern Regional Library Facility (SRLF), but LSC staff have not yet processed it. Materials stored at SRLF take between 1-3 business days to be delivered. SRLF Request Processed SRLF staff have processed your request and it will be delivered to the Reading Room soon. In Item Retrieval LSC staff are in the process of retrieving your on-site item to place it on hold for you in the Reading Room. In transit from SRLF Item is in transit from the off-site SRLF facility to Library Special Collections. Item On Hold in Reading Room Your requested material has been retrieved and is ready for use in the Reading Room. Item Checked Out to Patron The requested item is currently in use by you in the Reading Room. Awaiting Order Processing Your duplication and/or permissions order was successfully submitted but LSC staff have not yet processed it. Awaiting User Approval LSC staff either need more information from you to process your duplication request or are awaiting confirmation from you that the cost estimate is acceptable. Digitization In Progress LSC staff are working on your duplication request. Awaiting Order Payment Your duplication invoice is available to be paid. NOTE: This status will not automatically update when you pay your invoice. Please forward your receipt to speccoll-duplication@library.ucla.edu after you have paid and we will deliver your duplication order. In Photoduplication The materials you requested for duplication have been paged and are checked out to LSC staff working on the request. For Audio or Video requests, this can include paging the physical material and coordinating with AV Preservation staff or with an off-site vendor. Request Finished You have finished with your request and it has been returned to storage. This item no longer counts toward your five-box limit. Canceled by Staff LSC staff have canceled your request and you will receive an email with more information. Canceled by User You have canceled the request.
